When somebody opts in on your funnel, two things have to happen: their name and email go onto your list, and they get sent to the next page. This step is what makes both happen. Until it is done, anybody who opts in on your pages lands on somebody else’s confirmation page and the lead is not yours.
Two minutes, and it shows you exactly where the setting is. The written steps are below if you would rather read them.
Open your HBA Emailer → Opens in a new tab. If you are not signed in it shows you the login screen first, then takes you there.
- Click copy on your confirmation link below. Copy it from this page, never from an email: email can change links.
- In the Emailer, open Forms and Webhooks. Under Web Forms, find your pps-optin form card and click the pencil at its top right. An Edit Web Form window opens.
- Scroll down inside that window, past Opt-In Type and Email Notifications. Thank You Redirect is the last section, just above Save Changes. Click Custom URL, and paste your link into the box that appears.
- Click Save Changes. Not in the Webhooks section: nothing from this page goes there.
Load your nine follow-up emails
About 40 minutes. Do all nine in one go, then go straight on to Step 3.
Nine emails, already written with your name and your links in them. You paste them into your Emailer once, and they go out by themselves for two weeks after every opt-in. Make the sequence on the list PPS - $35 Machine Leads, add all nine, and leave it switched off until the ninth is saved.
Switch it on, then test it yourself. This is how you know it worked.
About 10 minutes. Do it once all nine emails are saved. The last step of your follow-up emails page is this same test; do it once, in either place.
- In your Emailer, open the sequence PPS - $35 Machine Follow-Up. Turn on Perfect Timing for emails 2 to 9 if you want them to go out at 9 AM Eastern. Then switch the sequence on.
- Open your own opt-in page: click this link.
- Opt in with your first name and any real email address you can open. Your everyday one is fine. Made-up addresses get rejected by the form.
- You should land on a confirmation page with your own name on it. If you see anybody else’s name, the redirect did not save. Go back to step 1.
- Email 1 should reach that inbox within a few minutes. Check spam too. Nothing after ten minutes? The sequence is still off, or it is on a different list.
- In your Emailer, open Contacts/CRM, then Lists. The address you used should be on PPS - $35 Machine Leads. If it is not, the form is not attached to a list — the step people miss.
That is setup finished
You never need this page again.
